DJ Biography

“Music communicates between times and beings”, says the 1968 born Viennese artist and producer Gernot Ebenlechner. His love of soul, jazz and blues developed late – already aged thirty – due to today’s production-partner in crime Juergen Drimal.

Countless private listening-sessions in the Vienna Scientists Labelheads vinyl-archive changed both his live and understanding of music forever. To learn especially the music and lyrics of the black community became the dominant impact in their releases as Freedom Satellite. As “electronic music”-producers it makes sense to call them contemporary – being passionate drummers themselves they love super-tight rhythm and vital flow in music – just listen to their numerous remixes.

In 2002 Gernot Ebenlechner started to appear behind international turntables ready to delight his audience with high-quality tunes.
